This book presents over 2,300 waypoints (latitude and longitude coordinates) in the Lake Huron area. The book is divided into the following five sections:

  • Lake Huron: Starts at the south end of Lake Huron and climbs up the Michigan shoreline to the Straits of Mackinac Bridge. It then heads east to the Georgian Bay passages and south along the Ontario shoreline to Sarnia and Port Huron. Completely covers the Saginaw Bay, Saginaw River, the Inland Route from Cheboygan and the Fishing Islands of Ontario.
  • Georgian Bay - Outside Route: Starts at Tobermory and follows the shoreline in great detail to Hope Island (where the "Inside Route" section begins). It then works north to Killarney, covering the open waters and every published entrance to the Small Craft Route. From Killarney, it works south to Tobermory.
  • Georgian Bay - Inside Route: Follows the Georgian Bay Small Craft Route through the thousands of islands along the east and north shore. It starts in the south by Hope Island and Severn Sound and ends in the north at Killarney.
  • North Channel: Starts at Killarney and works west to the St. Marys River. It offers two routes to Little Current. From there, it offers three routes to the west. It is easy to jump back and forth (north and south) between the routes!
    • North Shore Route passes through the Waubuno, McBean and Whalesback Channels and on to the St. Joseph Channel of the St. Marys River.
    • Middle Route works through the Main Passage of the North Channel (north of Clapperton Island) past the Benjamin Islands, through the open waters of the North Channel and on to the St. Joseph Channel.
    • South Shore Route works the Manitoulin Island shoreline to three passages to Lake Huron: Mississagi Strait, False Detour and DeTour Passage.
  • St. Marys River: Starts at DeTour Passage and climbs the western channels to the entrance of Lake Superior at Sault Saint Marie. It then doubles back to the North Channel of the St. Marys River, through Lake George and into the St. Joseph Channel --- ending at the North Channel of Lake Huron..
